The Indian Coast Guard is an organization of multi-mission; it conducts round the year real life operations at sea. Its Headquarters are located in New Delhi.
Indian Coast Guard issued a recruitment notification on 8 July 2014 for Navik (General Duty) and now Indian Coast Guard is going take written examination for all those applicants who applied for this recruitment.
Examination for the Post of: Navik (General Duty)
Selection Procedure:
1) Short-listing criteria – higher percentage of marks for a particular examination centre.
2) The qualifying cut off percentage of a particular centre may be increased if more number of applications with higher percentage is received.
3) The written Examination - objective type (cover subjects like – Maths, Physics, Basic Chemistry, Knowledge of English up to 12th Class, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Quantitative aptitude and Reasoning).
4) After Written Test there will be Physical Fitness Test and Initial Medical Examination (Preliminary). This PFT can take 2-3 days.
5) PFT (Physical Fitness Test): i) 1.6 Km running in 7 minutes. Ii) 20 squat ups (Uthak Bhithak). Iii) 10 Push-ups.
6) After Physical Fitness test there will be a Medical Examination.
7) Selected candidates list will be prepared from those candidates who qualify in all the tests.
How to get Navik (General Duty) Call Letter 2014:
1) Log on the official website of Indian Coast Guard that is http://joinindiancoastguard.gov.in/.
2) In the New events on left hand side, navigate your mouse and get the link to get Admit Card and click on it.
3) Enter your Registration Number or Email id and click on ‘Get Details’ button.
4) Now take a print out of your Call Letter of Navik 2014
